| | Behavioural framework | | | Last year we launched a new behavioural framework together with an extensive performance management process.
We invited input from support staff and fee earners to develop a new behavioural framework to underpin the firm’s values and articulate what success looks like for every role at the firm. This information was then transferred into detailed job descriptions and a behavioural framework.
Each defined behaviour in the framework has positive and negative examples at each level. This was developed by holding individual interviews and group workshops to explore ‘what success looks like’ thereby identifying effective behaviours through modelling excellent performance and critical incident analysis.
We were commended for this work by the Institute of Oxford who were commissioned by the Law Society to carry out research on women in the legal profession. As a result of this, we were asked to present an outline of our work to the Law Society Group as an example of best practice.
