12 Promoted To Equity Partner At Cobbetts
Jul 9 2008

Cobbetts LLP has made 12 people up to equity partner, reflecting the firm’s focus on investing in people in order to develop a national platform.

The promotions have been made across the firm’s Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester offices, and reflect Cobbetts’ commitment to developing long-term career paths for its people.

In Birmingham’s corporate team, Adrian Cutler and Charles Bond have been promoted to equity partner, alongside James Bessey in construction and Jan Becher in commercial. In Leeds, Johnny Crew and Tiffany Cloynes have been recognised in real estate, as well as Chris Ramage in banking and Penny Tate in construction. There have also been four promotions in Manchester, including Paul Johnson in corporate, Karen Brooks in real estate, Darren Hamer in real estate finance and Richard St John Williams in housing and regeneration.

Michael Shaw, managing partner, said: “Two years ago, we outlined plans to restructure the firm in order to provide individuals with more defined career paths. We have kept to that promise and our people are now beginning to reap the rewards, beginning with this round of partner promotions.

“By promoting these 12 talented individuals to equity partner, we are not only recognising their contribution to the firm but also creating space to allow the next generation of rising stars to move up. We remain committed to growing certain core service lines, and will continue our investment in people to facilitate that development and continue in driving the business forward.”
