Cobbetts has been appointed to the Cambridgeshire County Council Framework Agreement, following a competitive tender process.
The framework, comprising five legal panels, is worth an estimated £4,000,000 in fees and is intended to run for four years.
The appointment will see Cobbetts working with six local authorities and several public sector organisations, including Cambridgeshire PCT, Cambridgeshire Police Authority and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Fire Authority.
Cobbetts has been appointed to three of the panels: Planning and Environmental, Commercial Contracts, and Property/Conveyancing.
Regeneration partner, Eleanor Deady, who led the tender commented: “We are delighted to have been appointed to the Cambridgeshire County Council Framework Agreement.
“Effective collaboration between public sector bodies in order to exploit and enhance cost savings is of paramount importance in the current tough economic climate. Frameworks play a critical part in achieving these savings and we add this appointment to our recent successes to the frameworks led by Birmingham City Council and the Outer London Boroughs Consortium.”
The local authorities included in the framework are Cambridge City Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council, Fenland District Council, Huntingdonshire District Council, Peterborough City Council and Northamptonshire County Council. |
