Cobbetts LLP has been appointed by London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) as part of its three-year legal framework.
London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) is a not-for-profit company owned by its members, for its members. Its primary purpose is to maximise value from the collaborative procurement of goods and services for its members, made up of universities and colleges, as well as government agencies, research organisations, museums and other cultural establishments.
Cobbetts will be one of the 13 law firms on the framework who will have the opportunity to advise over 60 member institutions in and around London.
Cobbetts will offer litigation services, and a ‘one stop shop’ service to allow member institutions to access advice on all matters of the law. The framework commenced at the beginning of August.
Vincent King, commercial partner at Cobbetts, commented: “We are delighted to have been appointed by the LUPC, which adds to our reputation as a leading adviser to the education sector. The consortium will give the selected firms the chance to work with institutions including St George's, University of London, The British Library and University of London.
“In the aftermath of the election, the next three years will present a number of challenges and opportunities for higher education, and we look forward to working with the consortium during this exciting time.”
