Cobbetts built on its international profile with a guest appearance at a conference in France earlier this month.

Hosted by French law firm, Delsol & Associes, the event attracted over 70 lawyers and directors from France, England, Germany, Italy, Holland, Spain and China.

Addressing the audience in French, the delegates explained the laws and regulations from their home countries before engaging in a debate about important differences between them.

Cobbetts was represented by Corporate Director, Dominic Prentis, who spoke about corporate governance and directors’ duties and Employment Associate, Fabienne McAllister, who explained the framework of English employment law.

Dominic said: “As much of our work involves an international element, it is vital that we and our clients understand the differences between regimes in different jurisdictions.
