The Leeds office of law firm, Cobbetts LLP, has appointed Jeremy Bennett as a partner to its banking and restructuring team.

Jeremy Bennett, a well-known banking, corporate and restructuring lawyer and legal adviser to the Corporate Finance Network, joins Cobbetts from Leeds-based corporate law firm, JBL Law. Jeremy will spearhead business development for Cobbetts on both sides of the Pennines with a specific focus on the asset-based lending sector while also providing turnaround, restructuring and insolvency advice.

Director, Antony Wilson, senior legal executive, Russell Stevens, and newly qualified lawyer, Danielle Bennett, will join Jeremy in the move to Cobbetts.

Jeremy brings with him a huge amount of experience and contacts within the banking, asset-based lending and invoice finance sectors. The appointments will not only bolster the firm's credentials and drive for business development within these areas, but also add strength in depth to the banking and restructuring teams.

The appointments were in effect from 1st October 2010.
