Richard is a partner and specialises in housing and regeneration work. Richard advises the full range of our housing clients (including, registered social landlords, arms length management organisations, local authorities and community land trusts) on the governance (including mergers and group structures), corporate, commercial, partnering and strategic aspects of their businesses.

Richard has advised CLTs since 2006 and advises principally on the corporate establishment of CLTs including on their governance arrangements, charitable status and group structures.  Richard was involved in the discussions about the statutory definition of community land trusts.

Richard has also advised RSLs on their funding arrangements including on their ability to raise funds through community share issues.
Richard regularly speaks at conferences on CLTs including both the National CLT conference and Rural Practitioners Seminars.
