Alan heads up the the property litigation team, having nearly 20 years’ experience in dealing with property related disputes through litigation, mediation, negotiation or tactical advice. He has advised extensively on all aspects of commercial landlord and tenant law, including the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954, service charge issues, dilapidations and alienation problems, acting for both landlords and tenants.
Alan has also acted regularly for developers, investors and local authorities, advising on issues that arise during the acquisition of a site, completion of the development or the disposal of the end investment. Such issues, include advice on the enforceability of restrictive covenants, rights to light, boundary access and title disputes.
Alan is a Member of the Property Litigation Association, the Dilapidations Forum and is recognised as a leader in the field of Real Estate Litigation by both Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession and the Legal 500.
