Behavioural Competition & Antitrust

The EC Competition team advises on all aspects of behavioural competition law advice. Our experience includes working in London and Brussels as well as the UK regions and involves interaction with the Office of Fair Trading and Competition Commission, the European Commission and other National Competition Authorities.  Examples of the type of work previously undertaken include:

  • Advising on a variety of vertical and horizontal commercial agreements and practices, particularly in the case of corporate clients with market power and in sensitive sectors like chemicals, automotive and engineering.
  • Defending investigations conducted by the Office of Fair Trading and the European Commission into alleged anti-competitive agreements and concerted practices.
  • Advising on a variety of commercial strategies and defending accusations regarding alleged abuse of a dominant position.
  • Defending clients during so-called “dawn raids”.
  • Advising clients in relation to competition law based disputes with third parties including the threat or submission of complaints to Competition regulators.
  • Conducting bespoke competition law audit investigations designed to uncover and evaluate organisations’ competition law related risks.
  • Designing and implementing bespoke competition law compliance programmes.
  • Advising on and assisting in leniency applications before the Office of Fair Trading and the European Commission.
