Whilst the New Year is traditionally a time for making resolutions and working off the results of Seasonal excess, for anyone involved with HR issues, it’s very much a time to get to grip with forthcoming developments in employment law. Every year we predict a busier year ahead in the world of HR and industrial relations and 2003 is no exception.

While 2002 saw a number of measures coming onto the statute books, notably the Employment Act 2002, and the publication of a whole range of consultation papers on potential changes to the law, 2003 will be even more crucial as many of these changes actually come into effect. So, here’s our brief run-down of what’s in store for the year ahead.
