LOVE IS IN THE AIR

 

But what happens when the affection is unwanted?

 

Joe looked up from his computer and saw Julie walking past. She glanced at him and continued walking towards the coffee room. Joe knew that this was his big opportunity. He had been flirting with her, and she with him, for the past couple of weeks. He had been waiting for the right time and the right day. It was now 5.45pm on 14 February. The ideal time and the ideal day.

 

Everyone had gone home and the coffee room was empty. Joe got up and followed her. As Julie reached the coffee room she turned around, looked at him and bit her lip provocatively. Joe’s heart skipped a beat. He walked into the coffee room and tried to stay calm. He saw Julie getting a drink and walked up behind her. He felt nervous but also excited. He knew that this was his big chance. He told himself that if he didn’t do anything now he would regret it. Man or mouse. He placed his hands on her hips and felt her move towards him. Perfect, he thought, just like the films, and he moved his hand on to her leg ...

 

Julie walked towards the coffee room and noticed that the geeky guy, Joe, was staring at her again. She had noticed that he had done this before, on a number of occasions, and felt uneasy. Nevertheless, she continued to walk towards the coffee room. She was hanging around to meet her boyfriend at 6.00pm and had just enough time for a quick drink. As she reached the room she turned around and saw that the geeky guy was following her. She started to feel uncomfortable and thought about going back to her desk.

 

Instead, she bit her lip nervously and went into the room. The only real option was to get a quick drink and return to her desk. However, as she finished pouring the coffee she realised that the geek was standing right behind her. What should she do? Before she could do anything, she realised that he had placed his hands on her hips. At that point, she decided that the best thing to do would be to push backwards and push him away. She would then be able to turn around and get away. As she started to move backwards she felt his hand move onto her leg …
